Short Dharma Teaching about the Grace of Deliverance

"Born in the morning, dead by evening—what was seen yesterday is gone today.
The eyes go blind, the ears go deaf… Reflecting upon my own body, even if one were to live for eighty or a hundred years, in the end, one must die.
Considering the joys and sorrows, the affections and resentments that arise in between, how do they pass? (Even if we wish to hold on to them, how can we do so?)
Only by trusting in the Buddha’s path can one seek the true joy of nirvana." (by Dogen)
